    Dovetails (Bobart)

    Can dovetails be done using Bobcad. I mean is there a canned setup for dovetails. Is there anything for doing Dovetails in Bobcad

    Nothing cooked into the system. You'll basically need to crunch the numbers and program it yourself. There are some dedicated dovetail programs out there, like the one Jerry Burks has written: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/diy-cn...-software.html

    And Ger21 is working on one, but it's not finished.

    I have looked at Jerry Burks and it looks good. I think I will see what Ger21 comes up with. I hope soon. I will ask him.

    It's still several months away from completion, but it will do a lot more than just simple dovetails.

    V26 Profile and 3D pro toolpaths support dovetail cutters . You go into the tool crib and choose cuter type dovetail on left .

    Thank you for the info. It may help people with Ver 26. I have Ver 25 I bought it a month before 26 came out. I asked about getting an upgrade and the reply was less then friendly.
    They wanted about 4 times what I had paid for Ver 25 to upgrade to 26. I am retired and a hobbyist and on SSI.

    Can someone help me write a CNC program using using bolt holes along an angle I am also having problems plotting my points? Thanks. Any help would do.
