Where to buy 4" dust collector hose locally? I tried Home Depot- no luck.
Also, ideas for a 4" shoe that attaches to my spindle and is tight/compact so that it doesn't hit the sides of my parts when I do 3D molds and such?

Hi,
You can get some nice 4" Dust Collection Hose at Harbor Freight. My friend just picked up some for his Shopbot PRT 48 X 96 Router this week. Harbor Freight was out of the 4" hose connectors. You can pick up the 4" hose connectors at Home Depot. I think he purchased the ones for a dryer vent. Had to modify them a little bit. Here is a link to a video I made on my Shopbot Electronics conversion. It shows the 4" Dust Shoe I made for my router. It works perfect i.e. NO DUST. I cut the vacuum chamber out of multiple pieces of Plexiglas. They bolt together and magnets hold the actual dust shoe to the vacuum chamber. I made the actual brush 4" in diameter of different lengths i.e. 1 1/2" and 3". They can be easily removed during tool changes for ease of access to the router bit.

Hope this was of some help.

You can get hose at Rockler or Woodcraft if you have one near you.

Thanks for the ideas. I didn't know HF carried just the hose and thought they only had a hose kit. Guess they do which is good.
Still interested in ideas for a tight shoe that won't get hung up on the sides of stuff I'm routing?
