    Inch suffix Autocad

I use the inch suffix on linear dimensions, but how do you NOT have it appear on angular dimensions? It's been that way for as long as I can remember. I have been exploding angular dimensions, and removing the inch suffix, but after all these years, I'm looking for a way to modify the Dimension Style to avoid having to do this.
Just installed AutoCAD 2015, Win 8.1 64, but it's been that way for many, many versions.
    Thanks, Larry

It's worked the same way for as long as I can remember.
Once your basic dimension style is set up, go to Format > Dimension Style.
    Choose New.
Under "Start With:", choose your dimension style name.
Under "Use For:", choose Angular dimensions.
Choose Continue, and remove the Suffix from the Primary Units tab.

Angular dimensions will no longer have the Suffix.

    Thanks Gerry,
If you choose "Use For" Angular dimensions, the selections for remove
suffix are greyed out. It will work if I use "A copy of Standard" and remove
the suffix, but then every time you use an angular dimension, you have to
select the "Copy of Standard" dimension style, place the dimension, and
    switch back to "Standard".
I'm probably missing something simple, I will try your instructions again
at work, when I'm on the clock.
    Thanks, Larry

Sorry, my mistake. Set up your standard style with no Suffix, then create a new style (Start with Standard) for Linear Dimensions with the Suffix. Create a new style for any type that needs the suffix.
I've been doing it this way for as long as I can remember.

    Re: Inch suffix Autocad

    Thanks Gerry,
Works great now. The only classes I've taken were at Henry Ford Community College, twenty some years ago.
The course used AutoCAD R10 or R11, I prefer AutoCAD LT98 for the work that I do, simple drawings, and
.dxf files for the plasma cutter. The computer was upgraded from XP to Win 8.1 and AutoCAD 2015,
so I'll have to upgrade my AutoCAD skills as well.
    Thanks again, Larry
