    Tool Edge for Lathe

Has anybody come across a post for a Haas or Fanuc that actually outputs tool edge code with proper radius values.
I have always preferred using blueprint values.
Downloaded TONS from Gibbscam but still didn't find one that works.
I am willing to modify one to suit my own needs if somebody has both the .txt file and .pst file that I can compost.
This seems to be one of the biggest weaknesses with Gibbscam.

    Re: Tool Edge for Lathe

By default a lathe tool is vectored to the edge of the radius. So if the turn is 2.00" and your machine takes diameter input you will get X2.0000 in your program. I'm not clear as to what your looking for. When you say tool edge what exactly do you mean?

Sounds like he is trying to ouput code to the blueprint values, which would necessarily mean he needs to add the tool radius value and direction in his tool offsets page.
I have a few customers doing that as they do not fully trust the CAM software. The other reason I hear is because they may no t have the correct TNR in stock and they don't want to repost.
