Thread Cutting on MAXIMAT V10 Lathe

If you have a Metric Maximat Lathe Model V10 and required to cut imperial threads and don't have the full set of change gears this may be of interest.
I did some research on what gears were needed and have now made 3 new gears. 38, 44, and 51 Teeth.
To cut the required TPI, fit the new gear onto the main spindle where the 45 is mounted.
The only adjustment is to move the quardrant arm gear into mesh.

    TPI___Gear___Levers__Final TPI
    7_____51_____B h____7.003
    8_____51_____B g____8.004
    9_____51_____C e____8.96
    10____38_____C f____10.02
    11____44_____B f____10.82
    12____38_____C e____12.03
    13____44_____C d____12.99
    14____51_____B d____14.007
    15____38_____C d____15.04
    16____51_____B c____16.008
    18____51_____C a____17.93
    20____38_____C b____20.05
    22____44_____B b____21.65
    24____38_____C a____24.06
    25____38_____B b____25.06
    26____44_____B a____25.977
    28____51_____A h____28.014
    30____38_____B a____30.08
    32____51_____A g____32.016

The final TPI is not exact but for a short thread and a clean with a dienut can be OK on many occasions.
BTW... Some of these TPIs are closer then when you have the full set of gears because the set never included a 127 gear.

Ah, a fellow owner. I only made a 50/27 set to be able to thread .75.
