Hi I am interested in changing controllers to the AWC608.

I want to be able to control the laser pulses hence why I am interested in this upgrade.

Has anyone done this and is it easy? Is there an online manual or photos I can take a look at in doing this correctly?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have done quite a few conversion and helped many others to convert there machines to the AW608

Hi,
I have similar problem with my AWC608C controller. It can cut at high speeds, but I cannot engrave at all. It display message "Engrave Beyond Size!". I already tried to change "Position relative" and few other things, but no luck. Anyone can help

you need to lower your speed because the laser need some space as he returns. if the design is small move I more to the middle.

My laser cutter ip is smoothly ping from my computer....only 2 or 3 request time out....randomly.....

Anyone tell me the where is the problem and whats the solution of this prob??

If anyone can help with this I'd love to know - I've got exactly the same thing, and have never managed to fix it.

9/10 times I try to load a job (via USB, never got the LAN to work) to the laser-cutter, it locks up the entire LaserCAD program... and the only way I can get it to release is by physically unplugging the USB cable... it says "network error", then when I plug it in again it works.

I have to do this 20 times a day. It's utter crap to be honest, but I've never managed to fix it.

Can you post your settings file?
I already tried to engrave at 150, 50, but still the same issue. I had this message for cutting process as well, but once I changed origin position it works fine.

Hi. Finally I have get it to work! Quite simple solution. It is only a way of setting two parameters on your controller. Work Space -> Machine Zero, Control Zero and Position Relative (LaserCad v6.99). Before you change anything just go to the middle of your working area and set is as origin. This way laser can move in each direction, up down or left right. Engrave or cut something and see how it looks. For me it was mirror image, so I have to reverse settings for X axle. Good luck!
