Yep, Like I said on my blog, it's not the best work. In some cases, it's terrible. But it's good enough where it counts. The holes aren't centered up all the way through, but the holes all line up, and it functions. For the money, it's well worth the time savings. Heck, if you use the fittings, it's worth it just for those...

I'm done with the oiler for now. I mounted everything to the cabinet and saddle and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Here are a few pics:

Looks good! Do you think the grommet thru the drip pan is oil tight? I'm guessing one shot oiling will create a bunch of ooze in the pan. Or are you one of those weirdos that clean up after themselves?

I do tend to clean up after myself. You'd have to shoot a LOT of oil to get it to leak down that hole though. I'm thinking like a quart of oil before it would start leaking through the hole.

That being said, it's pretty darn tight. I made sure to get one that was undersized so it would be tight. If I end up doing a coolant system and this leaks, I can easily replace the grommet with a water-tight fitting instead.

    Hi
Your conversion is looking very good. You have don a great job on it. I have been watching your one shot lub install and was wondering what you are going to do with the Z axis ball screw? I'm still dinking around with it. I tried to hook a line to it but it just pulled out after a few up and downs. Then the line rubbed a hole in it so I had oil dripping every where. I'm kind of at a lose here. The on thing that halfway worked was to just drip oil at the top of the screw and let it work it's way down. But that makes a mess real fast also.

    thanks!

I haven't tackled the Z yet and haven't fully planned it out yet. I might see if I can find a cheap source for a really small cable carrier and install it in the head. Maybe route extra tubing in the head and arrange it like and 'S' so when the head travels up and down, it's not pulling on anything? They also make that polyester weave stuff to protect cables, maybe some of that on the outside will help with the abrasion?
