I am trying to take advantage of the 4th axis to cut this part:
Attachment 225810
I am thinking that I should be able to use the mill bottom to cut the planar spot on top, and then an unknown operation that will tilt the 4th axis so the mill side can cut the chamfer regions at both side. I can then use an auxiliary operation to move the 4th axis 60 degrees and repeat the previous operations.
With a waterline I can take care of the bottom plane. What I am lacking now is the knowledge to cut the angled sides. Hopefully I do not need to do this by hand with a terillion auxiliary commands. Or am I dreaming with pregnant birds?
Thanks for your input!
