Hi i hope i am posting this in the correct place.

i am looking to buy a signstech 6090 cnc router, for working with alloy sheet 2mm thick and engraving text etc

i have attached the spec sheet they sent me, i am a total beginner at CNC but i am fairly fast at picking things up.

can someone tell me what i should be looking at or for, i was planning to use a pc and mach3 to run the machine.

any help or advice would be much appreciated

they have quoted $4000 for machine $200 to ship and say about $600 import duty, is this a fair price ? i am from England btw

First of all, a 1.5KW or 2.2KW water cooling spindle is recommended.
Second, flood coolant system is a necessory option for cooling of the router bits. However, this kind of machines usually come without water tank to collect the coolant.
Finally, you'd better find out its original wiring fit the MACH3 system, otherwise you have to handle the wiring issues.
As what I know, most of the routers from China adopt NC studio or DSP control system.

Ther is no way around the vat, its due on import.
