Hi,
I'm a total newb to cnc. I just bought a Jcut 90150b router and it came with all the motor step setting in metric but I'm still in the stone age and work in English/inch. The z axis is set to 160 steps per mm and both the x and y are set to 101.86 steps per mm. How would I convert this to inches? Would it be as simple as multiplying the steps per mm by 25.4?

Yes, assuming the settings were correct in the first place. Try it and measure the travels you get when you command it to move a few inches.

If it is set in metric, and was good. That is fine.
To switch between inches and metric use G20 and G21

Don't be confused by how Mach3 is set up with metric/imperial.

Mach3 only...
It is all clearly written in the Mach3 manual. Of course, I am assuming you are using Mach3.
Mach3 is in steps per unit. It is easiest to set the units based on screw pitch. Metric or imperial, then the steps per unit are integers.
Then calibrate, and select metric or imperial in the config page, or have it set so it always remembers the settings (bottom right of config page)
It interprets metric or imperial depending on G21 or G20 setting.
