I just got a JCut 90150B machine and I'm setting it up. I have a question on how to wire a Z Axis auto zero plate to a Mach3 AKZ250 USB Motion Card using the internal 5v power supply. The manual only shows how to wire it externally. Would it be possible to wire Z Axis auto zero plate as shown in the image? There are 2 sources for 5v and grnd on the board, Ive traced them both on the schematic but would only use one.

You'll short +5 out from the board to ground!

You could try taking the 5v out through the 330Ω out to the touch sensor. That would limit the current when the spindle and touch plate short.

But what's a couple of batteries worth? If something doesn't work right it's easier to get support when your wiring matches the manual.

Hi, how did you wire it in the end please? I thought I'd be able to just take the +5v and connect it to my sensor wire that's connected to pin 15. I have it working with a battery and a suitable resistor as per their diagram but I'd prefer an internal 5v.

I just used a battery until I upgraded to an ESS smooth stepper controller.
