    NEED ADVICE - NEWBIE

    It has been 40 years since I took shop in high school and college. I have been looking at a Sieg SX3 or Grizzly G0619 (Same Machines) for some gun and hobby work. I would appreciate any input from you guys as to your preference, experience, machine quality and reliability. Looks like a well made machine with some nice features.

    I was thinking this would be a good starter machine with the hope of eventually converting to CNC. I am leaning towards a 4 axis servo kit. Any recommendations.

    I don't have one of those mills so I can't offer advice, but there is a cnczone subforum that is specifically dedicated to the SX3 (and related models) which you might find interesting:
