Adding tabs and changing the order of plunge etc

I'm definately new to this so please excuse my ignorance. Currently I am cutting my part out if stock and leaving .5mm at the bottom so it doesn't move about.

My question is do I have to define where I want tabs manually to hold the small 3mm thick part in place (roughly the size of a golf ball or can Solidcam do this for me?

The next question is, rather than do the edge and then come in to do plunge cuts on the part (3 holes) is there a way of reversing it so it does holes first and then the edge?

    Many thanks

Tabs in SC is not the easiest but I got a working solution that I'm using from guru_florida in another thread, link below. If you figure out any other way I'm happy to try it..

Cool I was doing one of the suggestions already. Ido like the idea of Solidcam 2012 though lol
