I am wondering if there is a way to put the latest updated version of Sprutcam 7 onto a CD?
The updates are fine as long as they are supported,
but with the empasis on version 8 I wonder if at some point the version 7 updates will become unavailable.
hence I would like to put it on a CD.

any hints or suggestions appreciated

Mike, can't you just go to Sprutcam.com and download the latest build - 7.1.6.64105 - and save it to your desktop then burn it to a CD?
I updated mine this way earlier this year back in June (and as it's a 400MB download I think it's the whole program?) ran the install over the top of my previous build and it works just fine with the dongle & Tormach post-processor.

I downloaded the installer, copied that to the DVD (drag and drop). Next I ran the installer and changed the target line to e:\ leaving the rest of the line intact, to copy the files to the dvd drive. I am not sure if that step is needed but it worked.
I then ran the installer for the program from the DVD on a different computer, it loaded the updated version of Sprutcam to the other computer.

I did have the original version on that one and it overwrote it, at least the version number when it boots says its 64105, so I assume its the new version.
