    Angry RADIAL DRILLING ON OD

on my second day trying to get a damn hole drilled on the od of a part. ive gone round and round with the machine, dont even know were the hell im at, and what ive tryed. ive tryed working with the application engineer at haas, with no luck.

i do not have y axis. i have a endmill loaded in a live tooling holder. ive tryed the sample out of the book and alarms out.
could i get some sample programs from you guys see what is different then mine.

i have a st-30 haas lathe, no y axis, L11.07B software(i know out of date)
yes drilling on a mill is faster, but it is booked until xmas of 2250,lol

any and all help would be great.

    thanks

May be better to post your program and we can try to see what is going on.

Also list what alarms you are getting...

this is the practice part. would like to figure out how to mill the flat radial also(remember i do not have y axis) but could the x go in and out as the spindel turns to get me close? i realize the flat will not be perfectly flat.

running the .830 dia as z0, and the flat is closest to the chuck

ok so i can get the drill and peck cycle to work, but not the rotation of the spindle. c command alarms out. h command does NOT move spindle, but in the position page, i see the number going to 180 in the c axis???????

thanks for the help boyz. would still like to see about milling a flat on the od using radial tool.
