I can get a Acroloc cnc mill for 700 dollars. The person has not tested it significantly, they have only jogged it around.

It weighs 6000lbs.

I am thinking it would be worth it as long as the ways are in good condition and the spindle is tight.

I would probably rebuild all the electronics side myself to update it to be modern.

For the price it seems unbeatable. I am a hobbyist and don't plan on running any production parts. I have approximately 800 square feet of unused garage space.

I was considering building a small mill myself to leave in my dorm at college, but since I was offered this I am reconsidering.

Oh boy, i remember those. That tooling style sucks big time, and you will be hard pressed to find any extras. I was offered 3 of those for free 10 years ago. I passed then as i would now.
