    Mach3 to run G540 issue

The PC that ran my CNC table went bad, I replaced it and reloaded the Mach3 and made all of the hard connections. I configured the Mach with the same config settings as it was on the old PC. Now I can not get the table to run. The axis show they are moving on Mach but nothing on the table.

Is the parallel port working, and did you enter the correct port address?

Re: Mach3 to run G540 issue

I am having the same issue.
My older PC motherboard gave up the ghost. I installed everything on a new quad core PC with windows vista. This is a newer PC with no parallel port, and so I added a PCI port. Rosewill RC-304 - 2-Port Parallel (SPP / PS2 / EPP / ECP) Universal PCI Card - Newegg.ca

I made sure the port output in mach is correct, and changed the Bios to EPP.
Mach shows the axis moving, but the table wont move. I have read a lot on the net, but don't know what else to do.

Thanks for any help on advance.

Looking at that link you provided, I noticed this, which might pertain to your problem:

Re: Mach3 to run G540 issue

    Thanks again Gerry.

I got the new card today. After some frustration finding out what the port address was, I did get it working. I will run some test cuts in the morning, but everything "looks" good so far. At least the machine is moving.
