Hi. My name is Ana. I found this place today while looking for some g-code to make a one-off Christmas/etc ornament.

Background. I am a member of a makerspace in Reno NV, Bridgewire, that has a number of CNC machines, including a Koike-Aronson plasma cutter table. I'm a programmer and math student and was interested in cutting mathematically-oriented shapes an similar things, and we didn't have any good software here, so I made some a software library that makes it relatively easy to code and generate 2D g-code or svg graphics, especially for mathematically oriented objects. I'm still improving it, making it easier to use, etc. Examples:

Hexagon Grid Generator
M.C.Escher Lizards Tessellation Generator

These produce gcode that works pretty well with our plasma table. (i.e. it's pretty good at avoiding trying to cut where a hole already exists.)

I have a lot to learn, as always, and enjoy what I'm doing so far. Perhaps membership here will be good for me.

Table size will be 4' x 8' or ? maybe longer. Input ?

The router is just something to be played with. I figured that why not ? Also figured the table would need bigger motors for it ?

Steel / Alum size will be from 24ga. to maybe 1/2" ? My plasma is good for 5/8" down.

So let the info fly ! And thanks in advance ! Guides to builds would be a big help.
