Looking to start over and pursue a career as a machinist in Vancouver, Wa area

I'm looking to get out of the gas oil industry and get into something I have always thought would be a fun career. In the process of relocating to Vancouver, Wa area to be closer to my wife's family and since California is really the only state that has an abundance of environmental laws my career in the gas and oil compliance industry must come to an end. I feel this is my start to do something that I have always thought was an art not a job. Not really sure where to start looking so I thought this would be the perfect place. I have little CNC machinist experience but can fabricate just about anything I need with the right tools. I worked two years as a machinery technician in the coast guard, ran heavy equipment for three years and have been in the gas business for seven years. There is not much I can't do, very computer literate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Nothing. No apprenticeship programs or anything here?
