Very nice.
Very nice.
Well Got the Head spacer Installed and it seems pretty stout. It is a very nice tight fit on the center hub, and the Head spacers are locked into the head will not budge.
I looked at the Clamping Bolts I had in the set and they work perfect (Similar to what Hoss did), In my set I have 4 with rounded edges and these fit just perfect, the others would not fit. I used a double nut to be able to tighten the Rod onto the t-nut, they kinda bottom out and I forced it a little deeper and also added some lock tight, they will not turn and get loose, I use the largest length I had in the set and also used the Nuts from the Kit.

Next Used a threaded Rod idea that we discussed on my forum Since we can not Use a Long Bolt in there a Stud Was a Good Idea to use. 12mmx1.75 x 8" long, and used a nut with a flange to ensure it would sit straight.
I had to Buy a three meter piece and it is a harder grade, took a long time to hacksaw through it. Cost $8.00 Local.

Drilled and Tapped the Head 1/4-20.

Since I used a Nut on the 12mm Center Hub Bolt I needed to make an additional pocket 0.375" deep for the bolt to sit within.
And also did a counter bore for the 1/4-20x5" Socket head Bolts.

Aligning the Head was not to bad, Since the Center Hub was so tight in tolerance I could not just simple slide it on so I wrenched it on and it worked well, with some light taps I can rotate the head, but I light the tight fit.

I've noticed that my head flexes upward now that I have a spacer on it. I want to redo mine and make it like the rectangular block you made. I'll be interested to hear how yours works out.

Joe,
Question, are your gas springs mounted upside down? Some of those have to be mounted in a specific way because, if not, the gas will leak out over time.
