I'm running a 5 axis Motion Master router with an 8055 controller w/ the TCP option installed. From my understanding, with TCP active, I should be able to set the B axis at 45, 90 or some angle other than 0, jog the C axis, and have the X and Y axis move so that the machine essentially pivots around the tip of the tool and the tool tip remains stationary. Correct?

When I have TCP active, the machine moves as if it is TRYING to accomplish this, but it falls far short. With B at 45, I jog the C axis. The X and Y axis move back and forth very rapidly and C turns, but slowly. The path that the tool tip ends up following looks like something from that old kids toy "Spirograph". It's almost as if the machine is expecting the C axis to be moving much, much faster than it actually is.

I have checked and rechecked all of my parameters. Everything looks good according to the manuals.

Has anybody seen this before?

Thanks!
