Larry, i have watched the videos on how to convert in ink scape. Also i have done many of his projects successfully on my own this way. to which i owe you guys credit for informing me about inkscape. i only post the ones i have issues getting to convert good / at all in some cases. I am not sure if they are too complex for inkscape and i need to try another software? If so please let me know which one i should shoot for.

I don't think the problem you are having has anything to do with Inkscape, it's more along the lines of trying to work with a picture that does not have a high enough resolution to define the edges of the different parts. You may need to draw over the parts of the picture that you are having problems with or even redraw the whole thing. I have had to do that even with high resolution pics where the shades of colors are to close for a program to tell where the edge of the part is. I try using several different programs before I attempt to draw over a pic because drawing over them takes time and patience. That's why when someone posts a pic that they want converted there is not always an immediate response.
Here is an example of what I am talking about. check out the left wing and the underside of the body. We can see the edge of the plane but most computer programs can not.
i've got this image and i just can't get it very clean, I think it's a crappy image.
Can someone else take a look and see if they can make a dxf out of this cleaner than i can...Attachment 253112

Jeff, that really is fantastic work. You just saved me hours of work, and created one happy co-worker of mine. He's going to make this from 1" stainless, polish it and make it be the support piece that holds up his breakfast bar in his kitchen. When I get pics I'll post them along, but I have a feeling he's a bit away from finishing this project.
Again, Thank You!
Great work
Can Anyone post some .dxf or .dwg files of snowflakes?
Did you try using the SEARCH THREAD function in the right top of this thread, not the one at the very top of the page??? I found seven posts that have snowflakes in them, one has several and that was just one try, other terms could find even more. Sometimes what you are looking for is already here if you take the time and look for it!
If you would search this thread using the search function for this tread you will find several posts. Or you could go to Brands of the World and download the logo for yourself. Just my 2 cents FWIW.
A couple of links to get you started! :stickpoke :stickpoke
Got a 5 Axis at work and a 3 axis at home so it should not be an issue, but some one could cut it on a 3 Axis and then hand cut the rest. Just wanted something close to go by, doesn't have to be the same.
Thanks for the Help
