    Question Servo Tuning Problems?

I have everthing hooked up (I think right) but I can't get the servo motors tuned in very good. When I do get them close they will sing in one direction (most of the time) and hum I the other direction.

The motors are 600 oz\in peak Ametek
The power supply is giving out 56v @ I am not sure how may amps
    Gecko 340 drives
Us Digital e2 500 ppr encoders

    More on the power supply
The power supply is a toroidal transformer by Antek, I can't find any info about it on the web. It has two primary coils hooked up in parallel (?) and two secondary coils in parallel run hooked up to a birdge rectifier and two capatictors. The only markings on the coil are:

    model# 7235 Antek
    i/p 0-115 v
    i/p 0-115 v
    o/p 0-35 v
    o/p 0-35 v

The only problem with the poser supply is it will throw a 20 amp 120 volt breaker on a regular basis.

What could be the problem? I have worked with it endlessly.

you may have a bad breaker, or be drawing too much current occasionally. if you can, lower your max torque settings to limit current. you may need to run a dedicated 30 amp circuit just for your cnc.
as an aside, some controllers work better with oversized circuit wiring and power supply because of line drop and peak loads .
