Hy everyone,
as you will see, I'm a newbie about electronics and I would need help about running diode laser on my cnc router. I would be really greatful if anyone could tell me what do I need from laser to power supply.

I have this controller for my step motors: eBay.com
and I want to connect laser looking something like this: eBay.com
How to connect laser with that board?

I know that particular seller and he really does know his stuff about laser diodes.

I don't know if that would manage a 100% duty cycle but ask DTR (the seller) and he will be able to tell you.

I know DTR as well, and would certainly recommend buying laser parts from him. Pretty good guy! He sells things cheaper on another site outside ebay, if you'd like me to put you in touch with him that way.

To connect that laser to your CNC machine you are going to need at least a TTL driver. The TTL driver looks for 0-5V, and the laser will only turn on when the voltage on the TTL pin is higher than 4V or so. Search for 445nm TTL Driver, you should see quite a bit on ebay. I believe most guys use the Z axis of mach3 to turn the laser on and off, you'll have to read up on your particular board to figure out how to configure it.

Also, that diode will cook to death if you try and run it in that little module at 100% DC. You'll need to put more thermal mass on there, as well as a way to remove that heat. Fans and finned heatsinks are your best bet.
