Help Please A Newbie Problem (those darn home ands limit switches)

I just found this site a few days ago and have been looking for info on wiring the home and limit switches on my TB6560 4 axis (green) board.
From the looks of what I have read I may have purchased a headache this it but here goes my question.
Here is the cut sheet that cam with the board. (if the attachment worked)
I want to know is simple terms when I wire up the ones on X do I wire both the home and the limit in series and the back to the board?
If so how does the machine know which one it is at?
Thanks a million, I thought I was smarter than the average bear but now I don't know.

Just a side note I did bench test all 4 axis with my steppers and everything seamed to work well.

    Welcome to the Zone!
Yes that is how you do it.

Mach knows which direction it is traveling and therefore which switch will be next (if enabled in the "ports and pins" section).

Will you have limits at both ends or just at one end and use soft limits?

Thanks that was just the answer I was looking for.
I have limits at each end.

No need for soft limits then.
A lazy man does it twice.
