the price is right. I have a few really small jobs that it would be more cost effective to just buy the machine rather than outsorce to the local laser shop. I see the 40W laser tubes are cheap to replace and so are the power supplies. Do these perform decently? Anyone own one?

Wanting to laser engrave powder coat (or laser that marking spray). on a small object about 2"x3".

It's a K40 / Clone

Short answer...no they are crap. The claims made for them are outlandish to say the least (they are max 35 watt for starters), if you want a machine to build from and to use the parts then great but for work use, honestly...don't bother.
The K40 is one piece of equipment that proves "you get what you pay for"

Now ,we have modified the K40 with DSP control system , and also change the laser power ,
laser head with air assist , honey working table with up and down system .

more good than before .if you have intestet , i can show the link of the video .
