Help,

I have started running thread mills and have had very good results. My problem is when I try to run them on my big Matsurra I keep getting a invalid plane error when it gets to the helical interpolation. It is a Matsurra 2000 with a fanuc 11 control.

I generated the program with Vardex thread mill generator and they run perfect on my 3 other mills. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The program is something like this

most probably your machine does not have the Helical Interpolation option.

Hi,

Didn't you forgot the G17 plane in the first line ?
Call for T10 is maybe not necessary but the G17 is.
Is your D60 value correct ?

G17 is defaulted by the control at power-on so it doesn't need to be in the program unless you have changed planes.
he said the program works on other machines.
in helical interpolation mode there is no plane selection because you are using all of the planes. it's not possible to specify all 3 planes. that's why you need the helical interpolation option.
that alarm means the machine doesn't have the helical interpolation option.
