Need help tuning / troubleshooting westamp servo boards

I have a knee mill with an Anilam Crusader M controller. I'm trying to tune the servos, and followed some instructions that I found here:

    https://sites.google.com/site/bmklaw...-manual-tuning

Unfortunately, after tuning to the above specs, I have made the machine worse. Now, when I power up the machine, the Y axis takes off, full speed, for about an inch, then faults and slams to a stop. without any signal being sent to it. This occurs as soon as power is applied to the servos. Sometimes the screen will show "LAG ERROR" for just a second or two, but then the error switches to "SERVO DISCNT".
I'm going to continue testing and swapping boards around later today, but I'm hoping someone can narrow down the issue and point me in the right direction.

Those older Westamp boards suffered from component degradation over time, including the adjustment pots becoming erratic.
I usually change them out for modern A-M-C drives.

Thanks for the input. I've been considering replacing the drives with something else.
Any idea which AMC drives would be most suitable?

I have some newer Westamp drives, that are similar to the original 30059 drives that I'm currently working on. The newer drives are Westamp pn 34246-15.
Unfortunately, I can't find any info on these newer drives as far as specs, tuning procedures, etc. I beleive these were from an Anilam 1100 or 1400 control.

I only have the Westamp A651 series manuals.
Actually the same as your link post
The replacement AMC depends on what motors you have.
