You scored some great actuaters! Looking forward to seeing what you build with them. I'm going to build a machine with actuators as soon as I figure out how to repair the damage inflicted upon the actuators by UPS. Here's a link to the start of my build log: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/cnc_wo...actuators.html
just finished making all the brackets :bat:
Very nice actuators. Are you planning to leave the machine on the yellow steel legs? That will make the machine frame flex (twist or warp) if you ever move the machine around or bump it. I think you will have to bolt the feet leveled to the floor or use a torsion box table under the frame.
The machine will have its own steel frame base , I'm planning to build a full covered frame for it since I will add a flood system.
almost done with the frame
I am going to need some help with the electronics
Please post some advice on the best nema 34 setup, (power supply and drivers?
Hi
I'm half though my build, and have not tested anything but I'll be using
3 x Leadshine HBS86 (8Amp Peak) Hybrid Servo Stepper Motor Drives with Encoder feedback.
2 x 8 N⋅m (1100 oz⋅in) Leadshine Stepper motor with encoders. (One each X and Y)
2 x 500W (63Vdc) Antec Power Supplies
(Z axis)
4 N⋅m (560 oz⋅in) Leadshine Stepper motor with encoders.
1 x 400W (63Vdc) Antec Power Supplies
Hope this helps
Cheers
Wayne
may I ask where you purchased all your electronics from?
http://www.oceancontrols.com.au for the motors and drives.
http://www.antekinc.com for the transformers and DC rectifiers.
