Hello and Help, I have a Bridgeport V2XTand when I boot it up I go into Machine Check and it fails. I then get an Executive load- Failed - error code - 1.
So what is an Error code 1???

Does this machine have a FMDC? Is it booting from the floppy? Is the CMOS correct? Is it a good floppy?

Yes, it has an FMDC.
Yes, I do believe it is booting for disk. - Whwn I turn the machine on I get :Invalid Configurationinformation - please run setup program
: Diskette drive 1 seek failure
: Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 torun the setup Utility

I hit F1 and it goes to BOSS XT
Then - Machine Check..Failed
Then - Executive Load..Failed - error code - 1
Then - A:/>

I have got it to load once or twice But now It won't. I've tried every boot disk off this site and any other on I can find. Also have tried dos 5.0 and 6.2. It's a fdmc unit with 4 aa's battery. they went dead and I replaced them but not wile under power. I had it load 2 or 3 times after that but I tried it a week later with no luck since. The disk that tries the hardest is the dx32 one off this group dl's it runs about 2 pages of code then pops back to a: * It has a 486 motherboard and a hard drive or a c: which I believe is on the communication board in a big slot on the mother*
