Hi all, I'm Pete, based in the UK. First off I'll apologise for for what I'm going to ask for because I'm sure it's been asked a thousand times already and drives some of you crazy! but here goes . . . I'm looking for information, previous thread links etc. on the subject of buying a Chinese Laser Cutter/Engraving machine. I'm after one with a bed size of around 600mm x 400mm and a wattage of 60-80W. I need to find preferably a Chinese Manufacturer rather than a re-seller who is known to be reliable and who supplies good quality gear.

So far I have spent around three weeks sending emails and requesting information with little satisfaction, trying to get good pictures of their machinery showing the actual working parts seems almost impossible, 90% of the pictures I have to date just show the outside box, useless! I need to see what I will be buying in detail.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I wish this does not come too late.

While the market I have been serving is a little different (mostly quilters) I have some experience with chinese machines. While they have proved to work well at the beginning their electronics are not good enough. They usually cannot be repaired locally and the suppliers only sell complete cards or modules.

Hence, my advise is, check availability of spare parts and electronic servicing prior to your purchase. It might not be worth the savings.
