looking for the name of a type of header

Basically its a strip of pins connected together with a piece of plastic. One side of the pin strip can be inserted into a PC board and soldered in place and the other could either get the same treatment or get pushed into a breadboard (the use I intend for it). Problem is the website I know of that useto sell them no longer does and I cant seem to find it on mouser since I dont know the right name of what I am looking for.

So I put in my order to mouser and this is what I get for 5 pin headers... But this is just 5 individual pins off a single row header right?

I had someone else call them and tell them about the problem and was told by the person on the phone that this is how they are sold. A "tec" got on the phone and confirmed... WTF Is there any chance that I am wrong and these really are $.08 each pins and the proper way to sell them?

I am not saying I am wrong but even if each pin is $.08 each wouldn't having them cutup like that still be wrong? The persons on the phone insist a single row header is what I got...

I searched ebay and see 2 pin header BINs of interest both of which I bought. One is 3x40 pin header for $0.99 and the pic shows gold plating another is 10x40 pin header for $0.99 and shows tin colored pins.
