    Poor Finish on new machine

    When slot milling & end milling I seem to be getting quite prominent steps in the finish (each time I increase the cutting depth) any ideas what is causing this?

    I’m usung a new Warco 626 VMC machine

    First thing to do is to check the tram - ALL axes, ALL directions.

    Sounds like tramming issue as Ray said.
