Does anyone know how to load a program into the controller ?
Floppy? RS-232?
By pressing buttons!
Why would you post on the Mori forum, when there is an Okuma forum??
Yes, move the thread to correct forum
As already said do the program on the machine (very easy if you use the conversational programming)
After running the program you may want to save it outside machine for later use. Now the funny part start if the machine doesn´t have RS232C or floppy disc station (assume it doesn´t have since you´re asking the question)
Now we are back at stonage:
First connect a tape punch to the round parallel type punch interface and punch out the program on paper tape. When you want to run the program again you load it to memory through the tape reader. May not be easy to find a working tape punch and paper tape for it nowadays
Another solution is to add a BTR-interface (google BTR-interface) that simulates the tape reader. This was a common product earlier when there still were a huge amount of machines without RS232C in production. With help of this interface (BTR-box) you can connect PC and transfer programs through cable in both directions
LC20: Deaf dumb blind, and very accurate. Paper tape!! Whoopee.
