Wasino VMC-18 Fanuc 6m, optional stop

Program will not stop with M01 ( with button in ) or M00 in middle of program.... This all occurred after I have a guy come to fix the machine, turns out it was the cycle start button. He swapped out the cycle start button with the working spindle stop button... So now cycle start works but no program stop or optional stop works.... Has anyone heard of this or are these problems or problem irrelevant ??
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!!
    Thanks

Look in the diagnostic screen and see if one of the bits change when pushing the optional stop PB.

Call the guy who "fixed" it to come back and "fix" what he screwed up.
