I have a project that I need someone to price me 2 molds. The finished product is aprox 15" long 8" wide and 4" tall. Pretty simple 2 part mold that will require a slot in the bottom for us to insert a 1/4" wid by 8" steel flat bar.

We will do that we just need the molds made prefered from sand casting.

I can provide a master to make the molding patterns from or to scan if needed. It will be made of EPS foam though.

If you can do this I would love to hear from you. Please PM me with info.

Its my understanding these can be made in China or somewhere overseas very reasonable.

Oh wow! I didn't realize there was a EPS casting molds section in this CNC forum! Sweet!

So I was just wondering if anyone has any good resources for permanent EPS casting molds with aluminum. A good link, an engineering book, a simplified DIY book/links perhaps...

I'm just getting started so any info is appreciated!
