Hi !
I have a MA60 Horisontal mill and would like to lock the B-axis in one of my programs.
Anyone now of an M-Code for that?
The parts i have are to big for the machine to rotate, and i dont want a rotation to be possible in this program.

check the B-axis specification if it has (hydraulic ? ) clamp first.
If You want to avoid an human error, You can set B-axis limits (in case if they are on cotrol for B-axis)
Remove ALL references to B axis from your program
- so when you load your part/fixture, there is NO COMMAND to force it to rotate
With the part removed
-Dry run your progam with the B axis rotated to another angle (say B15.), so that if it tries to do any rotation, it will be seen, and that reference can then be removed
You might be able to turn on axis inhibit for the B in your parameters on that machine.
Best regards,
Just make sure u don't rotate at all, or if you have had to rotate make sure to rotate back to machine B0 in the most direct way (M15/M16 selection).
The machine will want to be at B0 for the Pallet change, and will attempt to move to machine B0 at a M60 command.
Thanks for your replies
I will remove all B-axis moves in the program, that would make it fool-proof
