Hello all and Happy Holidays !!!!

I need to install a Haas rotary indexer on our XR1000 machine with a Fanuc 18i control.

Does anyone know if these machines are pre-wired with a relay for a connector to be installed and what M code it will use ????

I requested information from Bridgeport/Hardinge and they sent me the wiring schematics for the machine.....But that doesn't really answer my question, and the schematics don't show any options for a rotary indexer hookup.

I've done this on older Makino's and a Kitamura, but the newer schematics are different

I did this on a VMC 1000. The misc. M Codes were all output on the "M User" socket on the distribution board. The IO was direct from the Heidenhain controlled, so to be safe I built a opto-isolated interface. The biggest problem I had was that the M Code Complete input wasn't wired to the location shown on the schematic. Took a little time to trace it back from the control.

Yes Hi , I just finished hooking up a 4th & 5th axis rotary table to the same machine on our machine the wires for the 4th axis were already there for the 5th axis I had to run wires and data cables for that and a relay
