just buying a Syil X7 servo linear servo cnc and I have little to no idea on what software I need to generate g-code. I am using solid edge st5 for cad drawings.
Where do I start and what will I need please.
The adtech unit has basic programs in it but I will need to make my own I guess.

To generate G-Code you need what's called a CAM software. Examples of it are SurfCAM and CREO (which also includes CAD). G-Code generated by these programs should be enough to run your Adtech CNC Controller.
