Im running my third job on our new ST-20, and Im pretty frustrated with the time it takes for the C axis motor to engage. This is the second setup I have done on this machine using live tooling, and the first setup went fine. Now, when the control reads the M154, it pauses for 8-10 seconds, followed by a clunck sound, and then proceeds to position the C axis for the live tooling operation. Im running a 47 second cycle, that could be a 38 second cycle. If I have to watch this thing do this for the next 10000 parts, I think Ill go crazy!.
Seriously though, has anyone ever expierenced this, or is there a G code I may be missing? I have tried putting an M19 or M05 or both before the M154, but it didnt make any difference.
