Hi All

I am trying to create cylindrical machining stock. I have selected the cylindrical stock option under Milling Stock - Edit

It keeps illustrating rectangular stock????

If you edit your stock and change it from rectangular to cylindrical what you are really doing is setting the software up for 4 axis wrapping.

If you wanted to setup your stock to show like bar stock, you would keep the stock type as rectangular, and use your first setup "display" your stock as bar stock.

Create a solidworks coordinate system in the side view and and select a circle as you stock geometry.

Then create a second machine setup for your machining.
