When I engrave or cut, I get this residue that stick to the non engrave section of the acrylic making it lose it shiny surface.

What would be the easiest way to wipe those off ?

I've used water or windex, but it doesn't do much... I basically end up using my finger nail to scratch that residue out, but it painfully a long process.

Hope someone have an idea.

Hi. I DON'T get the problem that you're describing. Perhaps you could try either turning down the laser, turning up the speed, or adding air assist if you don't already have it. Or ensure that there is an air gap between the bottom of the acrylic and the supporting table.

Using 40 watt laser with air assist, speed 100% and power at 1%.

they sound like sensible numbers. What about raising the work off the cutting table so that there is an air gap between it and the acrylic?

The problem is not under but on top... Also Engraving can cause this issue, though it more related to the cutting process... I'll give it a try anyway and see if it help when cutting
