Pocketing same width as tool diameter

    Hi,

I am new to Rhinocam and CAM in general. I am trying to run a quater inch groove uning the pocket MOP Rhinocam 2 wont generate a tool path I presume because the tool diameter is quater inch. I have run and cut some pockets but have not managed to figure out cutting the simple grooves. Any advice would be appreciated

    sincerely

I think I know what you mean, and engraving would be what your trying to do. It will follow the line or curve as it were.

Thanks, I'll try engraving. Do you know of a text or font comprised of a single line that could be used. most of the fonts seem to produce double lined texs objects in Rhino, I would like a standard flat mill to follow the centerline of the script rather than pocketing between the double lines of a script object.

No, I've been looking into that aswell, I downloaded a program that does fonts to gcode, but haven't used it much as I can't accurately size the font.

Research each tool path type in rhino to understand when to use what and how it works.

There's a link to a dropbox file with single stroke fonts on this page

Rhinoceros » Single-line fonts in Rhino

    cheers,
