    2D Engrave

The 2D Engrave is not showing the rapids from the end of one cut to the beginning of another. This was reported upon initial release. This is of big concern because of possible collisions with clamps and the sort.Nice to know where flow of cutter is.The work around in 2 cases was simple, use V23.Am I assuming something wrong or missing something?????????

The rapid moves are not displayed on screen because the order the parts get cut in is based on the Cam Part\Milling Tools\Part\Machining Order dialog settings.

There is an easy way to determine and to see how these rapids are taking place and that is to use the Simulation. Any Solids/Surfaces that you create get passed into the simulation and displayed as part of the workpiece element. You can use this to create blocks..or detailed clamps if you wish that will display in the simulation window. In simulation the rapid moves from path to path are shown and you will be able to determine if you have safe moves or not.

    Hope this helps

This is not the most convenient way that you suggest.I don't know all the details in developing the new version(V25) and making everything work with the new simulation. But from an End User point of view this is a step backwards in the software functionality.V23 does a great job of showing paths.I understand what you were suggesting, but that leaves much to be desired.Mainly it consumes time. That equals money. Also it is not as accurate. In V23 all I had to do is put a point or small circle on screen and determine collision.Have coordinates at my finger tips quickly and accurately. In V25,I'm sorry, but from a users point of view, that is Hokey. And once again my work around will be to use V23.UGHHH.Guess I put on wish list.Question::Are you saying it can't be done or just is not being done??????????

OK,came up with 2 work arounds for 2D Engrave.Use V23or24.Other one I should of thought of sooner, but I am slow, use profile with no compensation.Did not pick example in any order,I did a pick by color, which picked everything at once.No reason to use the Engrave feature, somehow the profile knows how to show rapids.Problem solved, kinda.

I think this applies if you are talking about the rapid moves between individual features (Job 1 to Job 2). What jrmach is talking about is not the rapid path between Features but the order the entities are cut in ONE feature when multiple entities are selected (the 2D engrave). All other toolpaths display the rapid moves when more than one entity is selected (they can even be controlled in the Machine Sequence tab of the Profile Feature). In the 2D engrave, not only are the rapid moves between selected geometries not controllable, they aren't even visible.

This was in the previous build also but I'd like to add that the 2D engrave toolpath always jumps up to my clearance plane after the first engraved entity.
