making acme 1/4-16 on a swiss lathe

hello i am wondering if 1/4-16 acme thread is classified as a stub acme thread or if stub thread is something in and of itself? basically i am currently buying 1/4-16 threaded rod and modifying for my needs but id like to create my own 1/4-16 acme on my parts while they are being made in a star swiss lathe. the kennemetal acme inserts show standard acme tpi count being from 4-12 and the 16 count that i need is classified as stub so im confused as to how i approach this?

Acme and Stub Acme are 2 similar, but different thread forms. Consult the Machinery's Handbook for details.
