Fried Probotix Breakout board or drivers?

    Hey guys,

I was just rewiring my 3-Axis ProboStep Stepper Motor Driver Kit and have run into a problem.
After wiring the motors were turning fine as normal. Then I was using the +5V and GND on the PC side of the breakout board as power source for hall effect limit switches (with inputs on to the isolated side of the board). Unfortunately the +5V and GND wires touched. Now the steppers move erratically and at times without command.
Has this brief short circuit fried the breakout board?
I've tried a second PC - same problem.

    Any help is appreciated.

I confirmed that the breakout board had been fried through swapping the drivers to different ports on the BOB. Multimeter testing also confirmed the problem.

I emailed Probotix about the issue. They were prompt and helpful. They then shipped me a replacement board for free without me asking. Phenomenal service!
