I need to cut Black Delrin with the thickness of 4,5,20 and 25 mm. I didn't cut Delrin before with a laser cutter; instead I used my old CNC Router, but it's a pain in the 12. Since I have a 150W Reci Tube, I wanted to try to cut it with the laser. What do you know about cutting Delrin with Laser?

I just cut 4mm black Delrin and it smells horrible. It's vapor burns my eyes,nose and throat. Really nasty thing.

I think burning acetyl produces HCL and phosgene, nasty stuff.

"Conditions to avoid: Heating above 230°c / 446°f forms formaldehyde."

You are surely exceeding that when you zap it with a laser beam.
