    Okuma OSP 3000 upgrade

    We recently purchased an Okuma LC-20 Lathe with the OSP 3000 control with tape reader. Can anyone recommend a way to upgrade bypassing the tape reader? Thanks

    1. it's easy to use serial interface instead of tape reader.
    2. There are several different BTR's (behind tape reader). Replacement of tape reader. Was discussed here and possible to find on the net.
    3. Use regular RS232 for everyday's work

    We have been using rym.com products on our Okumas for 30 years. Never a failure.
