    tree ultra precision 1000

Two things, has anyone had any video card trouble where the display goes all crazy but the machine continues to run fine. If you mess with the beard it goes away. Secondly I am looking into what it would take to upload programs instread of having to write them on the machine.

    Any luck?

I too are looking for a MasterCam post processor for the Tree UP-1000 lathe. The machine after some repairs runs great--actually, currently doing a production run at very high speed with PCBN cutters. However, loading programs by hand is rather taxing between jobs. Let me know what you find on using the serial interface, and I will do the same if you have had no luck finding the answer either.

    Thanks,

One other thing, addressing your concern...

The display is a standard Motorola unit, and is available through many vendors.... I got my replacement on e-bay. It is not the video card most likely--moreover the display itself. A inexpensive fix, having purchased a replacement video monitor for $125.00.

Sorry about the afterthought, got carried away with my own quest for a post processor the machine.
