Mystery stepper - need help to identify

This is on an older series 2 Bridgeport. It had a Centroid control on it when I bought. We re-did it with a Camsoft pc based control.

I am changing my stepper drives and the new drives (Automation Direct SureStep) have a lot of parameters I am not familiar with.

The mounts are about 3 1/2 c/c. Any idea what these might be or where to find specs? There is no nameplate on them.

    Thanks!

    Mystery Stepper / surestep drive

Are you certain they're steppers? Looks like an encoder or perhaps resolver on the end, making me wonder if it's a servo motor, especially being round, though I guess a stepper can have an encoder as well.

I've got Automation Direct Surestep drives on my BP Series I running the original nema 42 step motors quite successfully. I pretty well guessed at some of the parameters; I found once I got enough power supply voltage and current into the drive, most of the settings didn't make any apparent difference.
